What is North Star?
North Star Scholar Association is a LEMI commonwealth school comprised of homeschool families working together. We offer weekly classes and scholar projects every Thursday in Roy, UT. Our classes reflect the Thomas Jefferson Education (TJED or Leadership Education) philosophy. Our community focuses on Leadership, kindness, and working together to grow and achieve greatness.

Mission
We stand together as families in our quest to build noble character and strong communities through virtuous leadership, selfless service, and dedicated study by seeking, submitting to, and becoming great mentors

Activities, Social opportunities, and Community for the whole family
In addition to our weekly classes during the school year, we offer park days, field trips, a family campout, family dances, book groups, Valentine’s parties, service projects, parents’ nights, trainings, socials, and other fun get-togethers. We are making friendships to last a lifetime!

Our Values
To promote an atmosphere of excellence, North Star expects a high standard of behavior. This standard includes being respectful, using appropriate language, and avoiding being disruptive. All scholars/students and mentors/parents dress for all North Star classes and activities in a way that shows we live lives that promote an atmosphere of excellence, where all can learn, grow, excel, and feel comfortable around others.
Expectations
North Star is an all-volunteer organization. Therefore, one parent from each family is expected to serve for the school year as a mentor, co-mentor, or parent assistant.
